In the EU, the regulatory monitoring has become a critical issue in the context of European economic integration. Indeed, European directives have a profound impact on how companies large and small. 

The directive is a document adopted at the stage of the European Union establishing rules that Member States should include in their domestic law (known as "transposition" in national law).The guidelines are not directly applicable in domestic law, they therefore require State intervention, but intervention is not equivalent to a measure of approval.

In general, the Directive sets the time after which the transposed legislation should be adopted.The transposition and implementation (implementation) should not be confused. 

Close monitoring of the transposition is ensured by the European Commission.
